About us

Since its inception in 2016, O LORD has been dedicated to supporting countless families and mentoring hundreds of young individuals in the Tidewater community, especially in the Chesapeake area. Through various community events, we strive to inspire and uplift both youth and families. Our vision is to establish a community center that nurtures an environment where young people can grow and thrive, helping them develop their skills, pursue their goals, and realize their dreams.
Our mission: O LORD is an organization built to combat community deterioration and juvenile delinquency while lessening neighborhood tensions by providing mentorship, leadership, friendship and guidance to young men and women ages 10 - 17.

This organization was sparked by three U.S. Marines during their military service. Drawing from their diverse life experiences, they collaborated to foster growth across the mind, body, and spirit. Inspired by this collective vision, Calvin Hill eventually took the initiative to transform their shared dream into a meaningful reality for the local community.
